Zakatul Fitr
As the blessed month of Ramadan draws to a close, we are urged as Muslims to fulfill the obligation of Zakatul Fitr, a necessary charity given to purify ourselves and provide assistance to those in need. This year, our zakatul fitr donation is pegged at £5 per head. This is based on the calculation of donating rice as a staple food for one person. You can donate a multiple of this amount for one single person, or for a chosen number of people. It is also recommended that you consider members of your family when paying for Zakatul FItr.
