General Hospitals in Lagos are critical healthcare facilities serving a vast population in Nigeria. Unfortunately, these hospitals often face issues of patients who cannot afford healthcare by themselves at certain critical stages of their diagnosis and treatment, making it challenging to provide adequate care to them, particularly those from poor families who cannot afford the cost of major surgeries, medications, and treatment. Volunteers and representatives of the Sadaqah Network are distributed across these health sectors, and they cannot help but face help requests from these patients who may either die from these disadvantages or whose families have lost hope in their survival due to lack of funds.
The “Healing Hope” project aims to alleviate this issue by raising funds to support these sick individuals in the hospitals. Especially those whose diagnoses are hanging in the middle because their families have exhausted all of their sources of support.
This is where we and you come in.
Some of the things needed are as follows:
Medical Supplies and Equipment: The project will allocate a significant portion of the funds to procure essential medical supplies and equipment. This may include support aids like wheelchairs, medications, surgical instruments, and sometimes diagnostic tools to enhance the quality of care provided.
Treatment Support: The funds will be used to cover the treatment costs of indigent patients who cannot afford medical expenses. This will ensure that no one is denied medical care due to financial constraints.
Specialized Care: Some patients require specialized treatment, such as surgeries or intensive care. The project will allocate resources to provide these services to critically ill individuals.
